Grandeur Simplicity

I'm Shelby. A 21 year old event planning major from Rhode Island. I’ve been blogging and vlogging off and on since 2007. I’m a pretty simple person but I’m loud and I’m proud of my quirks. So I’ve always kind of lived my motto. The simplest things in life are the grandest.

School’s Coming Back

For many school is very close and that means it’s time to get supplies. But that can be really expensive!

There are a couple of ways to save money on supplies. You can go to bulk stores and save lots of money by getting more. It’s a great way to be prepared too. Or if you have lots of siblings or friends you can share with then you can split costs. Get the biggest cheapest pack of pens and then split the price and the pens so that you get a great deal. I saved a lot getting pens and pencils that me and my sister can split. Another way to save is reusing things from last year. Old binders, folders and notebooks can still be good to use sometimes. Take out any old notes and save them in a good place. You never know when you’ll need them as refresh for a similar class. And then just use them for your new classes until they’re all filled up. A lot of old pens and pencils are still good to use. And mechanical pencils that still work just need lead refills! You don’t need brand new supplies from Staples every term. Just reuse and bargain shop your way into being prepared.
