Simple and Sweet
Dessert shouldn’t be complicated or take forever. They should be fun and simple.
Cookies are very underrated. I feel like no one cares about cookies anymore because cupcakes are so popular. Cupcakes are of course delicious but they can be really complicated. Between getting the batter, the baking, and the frosting right I get so frustrated that sometimes I don’t want to even eat any. Today, my sister made cookies and it really hit me that they’re so much more simple. Put everything in a bowl. Mix. Put on a baking sheet. They’re a very carefree desert. Even ones with jams and things are pretty simple. There are a lot of desserts that are pretty easy. Fruit kabobs are really yummy and fun. Sticks without a point for kids are a fun way for them to get those fruits in. You can also grill them and put a pinch of salt on them for a new take on fruit. I know that me and my sister love making popsicles in ice trays. You can get really fun ice trays like guitars and skulls. Some fruit juice or soda and a few hours in the freezer and you’ve got a Monster energy pop. My sister really likes those. You can make a lot of desserts with little effort but I think cookies are still my favorite. Especially these sugar cookies. Mmmm.
