Grandeur Simplicity

I'm Shelby. A 21 year old event planning major from Rhode Island. I’ve been blogging and vlogging off and on since 2007. I’m a pretty simple person but I’m loud and I’m proud of my quirks. So I’ve always kind of lived my motto. The simplest things in life are the grandest.

Bloggers Do It Better

Fairly Floral OOTD

I haven’t done any outfits of the day yet and since I really loved my outfit today I though it deserved a post.

Excuse my complete awkwardness and inability to pose for pictures. There are only three or four things that I’d consider part of this outfit. From head to toe the first is my cardigan. It’s a white cropped one from Express. It has three white buttons and it’s a little larger and then is tigher around the waistband and the bottom of the sleeves. The next thing is my super cute dress from Old Navy. This was a more recent purchase so I remember that it was about $32.

The top of the dress is bunched but you can still see the pattern really well. I thought I should get a close up so you can really appreciate how adorable it is. It’s bunched down to the hips and then has three ruffled tiers. I have pretty wide hips and normally these kinds of dresses make me look a little heavy but the fitted top emphasizes my small waist and balances things. The dress is so adorable that I actually went back a second time to buy it after trying it on a few weeks before. I couldn’t resist. I like that it’s a subtle floral in a great summery color. Such a perfect sundress.

The other two things I consider part of the ensemble are my nail polish and my shoes. I have on Watermelon by Essie which you can see in the first image and I think it adds a nice pop with the green. A nice toned down pink would look lovely too. Or the coral that I paired with this dress a while back. My shoes are a pair of plain white flats from Payless Shoesource. I believe they were less than $15. I remember getting a really good deal on them. So handy to have. So there’s my outfit of the day! I hope you love it as much as I did.
